Why I Want To Be Rich

Just reading through my daily web pages and one interesting question came up. Why do you want to be rich? It said to take an hour or so and really think about my goals and the reason why I want to be rich. So after lots of brainstorming and thought, here is what I came up with.

Why I want to be rich…

- I want to own myself and not work for people or items. (e.g. When you put something on a credit card, that item owns you until it’s paid off)
- I’ve been dead-broke before and I do not want my kid to ever feel the pain and stress that I had to deal with.
- To give my family (my kid, parents and sister) a stress-free, financial sense of freedom.
- To spend time with my kid at any time, any place.
- I want high-tech gadgets…ALL OF THEM!

These are my personal reasons and every 6 months I’ll go back and re-read my goals to see if what I’m doing in my life is reflecting what I’m trying to achieve.

Happy Thanksgiving...

So I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving. Food is just wonderful! So I couldn't help myself this "Black Friday." I was up and waiting in line around 5am at Staples. I ended up getting a GPS System for $150 and a 1gb Flash Drive for $7 after rebates. I also picked up a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse for only $20. Overall, I spent $205. I figure these items I bought will make me more productive, thus increasing my productiving and resulting in more income. It's almost the begininning of December and I'll have a new updated NetworthIQ...

Thanksgiving Sales... Not this year

So it's almost Black Friday and I want so many things. Since I'm on a strict budget, I won't be able to buy the things I want... like a 500GB External HD, Nintendo Wii, or a new computer or laptop. I guess i'll have to suck it up and wait. So will it be all worth it at the end? I hope so. Save now, spend later... Once I'm in the positive Net Worth stage, i'll be able to afford ANYTHING I want (in theory).

NFL Gambling Results

Went 3-1, overall +$36.47 profit. Da bears and boltz come through for me, so does Manny Pacquiao.. all but Peyton Manning. Oh well, he'll get them next week!

Wow, what a reality check. This is going to take some time, but is very attainable. Enjoy the ride and I will updating my Net Worth every 1st of the month. I will then compare it with the previous month and show any gains or losses.

1st Step to my $100,000 Goal

Many people dream to be financially wealthy, but how many people will actually achieve it without trying? Back in 9th grade I learned a simple forumula from Ms. Balla, "First start, then continue." I might as well start TODAY instead of waiting for the new year. I'm taking my first baby steps to my goal and I hope this journey will be as painless as possible.
