Credit Score 636

I get a free credit score each month with one of my credit cards and I'm glad to see my credit score is going up slowly. I took a screen shot so you can see the great upward trend. When I was 18, I didn't make my credit score a priority and now I'm paying for my past. My goal is to teach and educate my kid so that he will not have to spend time trying to rebuild. I hope he listens...

I tell ya what, It's amazing how long it takes to build back up your credit score. Yet, miss a monthly payment and you will drop pretty far down. I really don't like the credit system.

Kudos on the increase

I think by now, you are half-way on achieving your goal, Neil. And it is good to know that you are teaching your kid the right way to handle their finances. In the future, this knowledge can save them from any financial pitfalls. [Cinthia Mull]

“I didn't make my credit score a priority and now I'm paying for my past.” – Don’t be too hard on yourself, Neil. It is not too late to learn. And the most important thing is that you learn from your mistakes and you know how to make up for it. (Jaden Allred )

Being debt-free might be one of the most wonderful feelings I have ever felt, especially after clearing off my debt from my former credit card company. Past mistakes teach us valuable lessons. It’s great to know that you’re doing well with your debt. Educate your child to save. It will help him greatly!
